City Navigator Poland

I have now used this map a few days when driving around in Poland.

The map is good and seems up to date. There where much work on exits from the main roads that made driving somewhat challenging.

POIs seems to be consentrated around bigger cities. When trying to find museums etc in smaller towns I had to ask for help.

Microsoft MapPoint does not have the same amount on details for Poland. Way to go Garmin!

Garmin and mapsource

I think Mapsource is a great tool. It makes planning a lot easier on a computer. You can also merge together different maps into the same device. Topo, road maps and water maps always available for you...

But now it seems like Garmin is moving away from this scheme. Bluechart g2 is only sold as a memory stick that only works with your gps. City Navigator NT is much cheaper as a memory stick than as a DVD.

What are our options now?

Quick redirect for geocaches

coord.info site is used as a quick redirect for geocaches, waymarks and Travel Bugs on Groundspeak's family of web sites. These links are not case sensitive so you can enjoy every variation from TBABC to TbXyZ. It's like TinyUrl for locations.

Shortcut to heaven

When you link to this site, like http://coord.info/GCXY02 you are routed directly to the geocache GCXY02, wherever Groundspeak decides to place the link in the future.
